From FOSTER'S DAILY DEMOCRAT - October 19, 2007 - DOVER, NH Rabbi Larry Karol of Temple Israel of Dover announces publication of "One Light Above: The Larry Karol Songbook," which features notation and chords for the songs on Karol's CD recordings of original Jewish music, "Two are Better Than One" and "A New Beginning." ??The songbook includes notes on the background and beginnings of each song and suggestions for using the songs in worship and programming. Karol writes in the introduction, "There are times when the inspiration for a new song seems like a light that suddenly appears out of nowhere. Each song is the culmination of a process of study during which ideas have come together in the form of lyrics and music that interpret the passage that first caught my eye." Songbook co-editor Joel Eglash commented, "The contemporary Jewish music of Rabbi Larry Karol is an invitation into the heart of the book of Psalms.
