Deborah Katchko-Gray, SED79 While her intended audience will clearly appreciate this collection of Jewish tunes, this Connecticut based cantor has wider appeal. With a strong and soulful voice, she covers a broad range of songs in several languages, exposing us to Jewish culture from various times and places. Her earlier recording, Kindersongs, a Jewish singalong for families also accomplishes its goals and transcends them- my one and a half yar old daughter enjoys it as much as her other, more secular kids' music tapes. |
