| I feel like I have a continuous stream of music flowing through me. Sometimes it's a favorite popular song, other times I stop to realize that I'm receiving something new and I'll frantically reach for my mp3 recorder. I usually let the inventory grow to the point where I'll go crazy if I don't start working on a new album. I really strive to live Jewishly 24/7, to utilize mitzvot to keep me in a "G-d conscious" place, so much of my material reflects this parallel universe. My greatest thrill is to see that initial musical idea come to life... from a snippet of a theme to an album and then into a performance where I'm singing for a hall full of people that already know the tune. |
