This project is a joint venture of the Israeli singer Sharon Ben-Zadok, the sitar and strings player Eyal Faran and the bass and computer player Marc Smullian. This album and the show that follows, Funky Grooves of Yemen, present music of the world, integrating traditional Yemenite women's songs that Sharon learned from her mother, together with Indian songs she studied for 6 years in Varanassi, India, with special arrangements adding modern sound and flavor. The energetic and passionate show is enriched by the dancer Michal Inbar, adding a combination of modern and authentic Yemenite dances.
