Jeff Marder is an award winning New York City based composer who remains rooted in both the Jewish music world as well as the Broadway world. In demand as a conductor, keyboardist, and synthesizer programmer, Broadway credits include NEWSIES, BOOK OF MORMON, LEAP OF FAITH, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, WICKED, SHREK, THE LITTLE MERMAID, GUYS AND DOLLS (2009 Revival), and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Other theatrical credits include RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR, Cirque du Soleil's O, and LE REVE (Wynn Resorts, Las Vegas).
Discography includes the cast albums of the Broadway shows LEAP OF FAITH, NEWSIES, and PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT in addition to oboist Keve Wilson's release PURE IMAGINATION (Composer's Concordance Label) and the Harlem Spritual Ensemble's SISTERS OF FREEDOM.
As a composer of Jewish music, his compositions have been heard throughout the United States in many congregations, ACC/GTM Conventions, Shalshelet Festivals, and recitals of new Jewish music. Jeff is the VP of Music Technology for the Guild of Temple Musicians.
