Judith Silver
Judith is a British singer/songwriter in the evolving tradition of people writing from the heart. In her secular pieces - where it all began - she moves from soft and tender to big and burly, visiting all sorts of other places on the way, and she cites Joni Mitchell and James Taylor as her early influences.
She has gradually moved closer and closer to her Jewish roots, in her work and her composition. Her Jewish catalogue to date mostly consists of songs for groups to sing a capella, but she's moving into other genres...
Two of her songs were selected for the Shalshelet Festival in New York in 2010 - Gesher and B'rich Rachamana - and are included in the songbook/CD of that festival
