Jon Nelson's inspirational music and high energy concerts have been a mainstay in Contemporary Jewish music for over 15 years! As the Founder and Lead Singer of the groundbreaking Jewish group, Yom Hadash, Jon has performed hundreds of shows at Synagogues, JCCs, Music Festivals, Colleges, Private & Corporate Events from Coast to Coast.
Jon's brand new group... The Jon Nelson Band, is continuing the musical recipe that first established Yom Hadash in the late 1990's. His brand new, solo CD "Twelve Songs" is being lauded as "instant classics" in the Jewish Music genre.
In addition to his past work with Yom Hadash, Jon is also nationally recognized Children's Entertainer & Educator (both as a solo children's artist and as a member of the Jewish Rock Band for kids, "Jon Nelson's Rockin' Kids Revue").
Jon has released eight CDs, with music that crosses genres and boundaries. In addition to his work with Yom Hadash, his Rockin' Kids Revue & The Beatbillies (a touring Beatles tribute band), Jon is also the Music Specialist/Cantorial Soloist at Temple Emanu-El in Marblehead, MA. He lives in Rhode Island with his wife Beth, their great kids Ben, Evan and Emily, and "Brisket" the dog.
