Rabbi Rayzel Raphael is a visionary artist and award winning songwriter/liturgist with five recordings to her credit. Rabbi Raphael is an award winning songwriter/liturgist and sings with MIRAJ, a female acapella trio, and Shabbat Unplugged. She has recorded three albums and has two solo recording Bible Babes a Beltin' and Friday Night Revived!
Reb Rayzel is an "unorthodox" rabbi teaching about " the Jewish Mysteries" - angels, dreams, kabbalah, and more. She has a private practice in the Philadelphia area where she counsels interfaith couples and their parents. She has also been the spiritual leader of three congregations, served as chaplain and worked for Hillel doing outreach to students.
She was ordained at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and studied Religion at Indiana and Brandeis Universities. Rabbi Rayzel studied in Israel at Pardes and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her most recent creation is a deck of Shechinah Oracle cards researched from Jewish text and tradition.
