Allan Lieberman
In 1990 Allan Lieberman traded in his briefcase, his three piece suit and 15 years in investment real estate for a career in music. His first recording, Thank G-d I’m A Jewish Boy was released in 1989. In 1992 Thank G-d I’m A Jewish Boy received national airplay and was named the 12th most requested song of the year on Dr. Demento, a nationally syndicated radio program. Later that year the album Ha! Ha! Hanukkah was released.

For the first three years of his career Allan performed exclusively for adult audiences at Synagogues and Jewish organizations. In the summer of 1992 he started singing with children at a summer camp. In August of 1993 Allan performed at a national convention of Jewish educators. This created a desire to work with Jewish children. He began working at a Sunday School and subsequently at Jewish Community Centers, Day Schools, and Daycare Centers. During this time he began writing Jewish holiday songs for children and performing family concerts.

In 1995, Allan’s third recording, Deli Tunes, was released. A year later he began traveling around the country, performing at summer camps, family and adult concerts, and Jewish Religious Schools, and Preschools.

Allan’s first three recordings are parodies, primarily shtick and satire. In 1998 his 1st recording of original material, It’s The Miracle, was released. It received the prestigious Parent’s Choice Gold Award. His next three recordings, Love The Torah, Purim Potpourri, and Dip It In The Honey consist of music for children.

One of Allan’s strong points is his ability to get the audience involved in his performance. He draws them in with his spontaneous banter between songs and has them participate in several of his tunes by teaching them the refrain. His openness and haimish style invites the audience to participate and be part of the fun.
