Larry Bach is the Rabbi of Temple Mount Sinai, the Reform synagogue in El Paso, Texas. He has been playing and singing his whole life, and music is a big part of his rabbinate.
Larry is passionate about Jewish learning, and understands his songs as vehicles for learning. He wrote several of the songs on his first album, "Kivvunim," in order to communicate central Jewish concepts such as kavvanah ("intention"), Shabbat, b'tzelem elohim ("in God's image"), and Shalom.
"Kivvunim" also includes songs written for services conducted from the Reform movement's siddur, "Mishkan Tefilah."
