Rebecca Ungerman
Rebecca Ungerman is a Tulsa native and has been singing all her life. In August, 2009, her fans voted her Urban Tulsa Weekly Magazine's Absolute Best Female Vocalist.

Rebecca began her career while still underage, sneaking into Jay’s Place, a seedy local dive, for the Sunday night jam sessions. Early in her career, she was the first to bring live music to many local venues. In the mid 1990s, Rebecca took a break from pop music and Tulsa for several years and concentrated on her studies, performing & teaching modern and traditional Jewish music. During this time, she had the pleasure of singing and studying with many artists including Debbie Friedman. This led to her career as a professional songleader & Judaic educator, sharing spirituality & music across the country with various teen organizations.

Upon her return to Tulsa, she sang for three years with the jump-blues band Blue Combo, opening for Little Richard at the Cain’s Ballroom and headlining the Little Rock Blues Festival. Rebecca has developed her solo career & moved ahead to what has been described as a ‘higher level of musical interpretation.’ Backed by many of Tulsa's finest instrumentalists, she now has the freedom to channel her energies into becoming a skilled song stylist like her idol, Nancy Wilson.

In 2001, Rebecca co-founded the H.O.P.E. DIVA Show, an annual benefit for Health, Outreach, Prevention & Education of Tulsa. To date, The Diva show has raised over $250,000 to help combat the H.I.V. epidemic. She also gives generously of her time & talent to raise money & awareness for other causes including breast cancer education & youth in crisis.

In recent years, Rebecca has taken her skills backstage as the director of the Tulsa Gridiron, a local political satire show with a 75-year history in Tulsa. She has written, often with stellar collaborator P. Casey Morgan, & performed in many original cabaret shows as part of the SummerStage series at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.

In 2009, Rebecca joined forces with Cindy Cain, P. Casey Morgan & Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame inductee Pam Van Dyke to form Sweet & Hot Productions. Under that umbrella, they have created two musicals and a CD, Backstage at the Midnight Social Club,' featuring Rebecca, Cindy, Pam and Annie Ellicott.

Rebecca has released several recordings, including her acclaimed 2004 solo album of jazz & popular standards, 'I Just Want...'.
