CANTOR ABBE LYONS: hazzan, educator, college chaplain and musician. Cantor Lyons delights in the amazing diversity of Jewish music from all over the world. Her band, Resonate's CD Listen! features original songs as well as settings of texts by Rabbis Rachel Barenblat and Arthur Waskow. She serves Hillel at Ithaca College and Hillel at Binghamton, is on the faculty of Aleph Ordination Programs, and facilitates SpeakChorus Torah, a collaborative midrash creation and performance process. She founded Gilat Rina (Joyous Wave of Song) chavurah in 2015 and serves as High Holiday Hazzan at Pleasantville Community Synagogue.
RESONATE's bandmembers are Abbe Lyons (lead vocals, guitar) Will Fudeman (guitar, mandola, vocals), Mahmud Burton (oud, ney, percussion), David Frumkin (violin, guitar, vocals), John Hilton (electric bass), and John Simon (guitar, vocals).
