Lisa Jane Lipkin is a New York-based singer-songwriter, cantorial soloist, music educator, and synagogue musician whose love of the sacred comes through in all she does.
She has brought her soulful singing, exquisite musicianship and depth of spirituality to numerous Shabbat services, High Holy Days, Women's Seders, Tu b'shvat seders and many more life-cycle events and holidays and has been seen singing, drumming, offering original, contemporary & traditional music from all over the Jewish music spectrum alongside such rabbis as Rabba Kaya-Stern Kaufman, Rabbi Mark Sameth, Cantor Elizabeth Sternlieb, and others.
Lipkin's recordings include "A Prayer for Peace" original Jewish prayers and chants, in addition to two secular CD's of original songs that are interwoven with her spiritual sensibilities.
Her award-winning songs have appeared in film and on many compilations. She has performed on many varied stages including opening for Steve Forbert, Dar Williams, John Pizzarelli, Vance Gilbert and more.
Her production credits include, Jay Hitt's "Greetings from the Wildernmess", Christine Pepe's award winning, "Home". Her singing/arranging credits include a number of recordings by Sandi Kimmel.
