Cantor Rebekah Mirsky began singing, playing and writing at the age of 14. She started her career as an alternative country singer touring the south and opening for Emmy Lou Harris and Lucinda Williams. After her father, a rabbi, passed away in 1998 she found her back to Judaism and became ordained as a cantor in 2010. While going to school she began working at Beit Teshuvah, a live in facility and community for recovering jewish addicts. There she explored liturgy with residents and began writing and interpreting prayers. Her great love is helping people to find connection with liturgy to help them navigate through life. She currently works at TBI in Highland Park and for B'nai Chorin in West Los Angeles. Rebekah lives with husband Lawrence Price, lmft, her dog Django and her cat Borsht.
