Emily Tummons
Emily Tummons is the author and arranger of Kol Han’shamah, Band Volume I: “Easy Arrangements of Jewish Music for Congregational Band,” published in 2021 by Transcontinental Music Publications.

Her original Jewish compositions are distributed here, by oySongs.com, and published in TMP songbooks (https://bit.ly/33DamfV), including Shabbat Anthology, Volume IX, and Nigun Anthology, Volume III.

During her career in Jewish music, Emily has served as a t’filah band leader and arranger, cantorial soloist, religious school music teacher, choral conductor, full-time music director, and guitar and piano accompanist for synagogues in the greater Kansas City area.

She has served on the board of trustees of the Guild of Temple Musicians, which is an affiliate of the American Conference of Cantors, and is a long-time member of NACUSA (National Association of Composers of USA), WCN (Women Cantors Network), and the IDRS (International Double Reed Society).

In addition to her work in Jewish music, Emily is a faculty member at University of Kansas, where she completed her postgraduate studies in linguistics.
