Jamie Marx is honored to serve as the cantor of Temple Sholom in Broomall, PA. He is passionate about worship music in all its forms, utilizing pop and folk styles, art music, niggunim (wordless melodies), choral settings, and chazanut (traditional Jewish chant) in services.
A composer and songwriter, Cantor Marx released two singles of Jewish pop in 2016. His setting of "Yih'yu L'ratzon" was chosen from among more than 400 entries for inclusion in Shabbat Anthology Vol. 8, published by Transcontinental Music Publications. In 2017, he released "In Pursuit," an album of original Jewish hard rock, and in 2018 he released a live album entitled "Questions and Demands."
