Adam Lowy (Assist) has been a Pre-K teacher for over 12 years. His experience includes 7 years at Temple Emanu-El in San Francisco, where he taught Pre-K classes. Adam moved to Seattle in August of 2004 and worked at Stroum Jewish Community Center, Mercer Island, WA teaching Pre-K, so his fiance could attend UW to earn her Masters in Public Health degree. They are back in San Francisco as of August 1, 2006! Adam's work experience also includes many summers of coaching high school basketball to San Francisco Bay Area youths. His kind and gentle approach to teaching has enabled him to positively influence the lives of many kids. Marc Rosenberg (The Purple Salamander) is an Audio Engineer, Producer and Musician who lives in San Francisco. Marc grew up in the Panama Canal Zone, where he learned to live among many diverse cultures. Marc's musical style is influenced by his early years of exposure to Reggae, Hip Hop, Disco, & Funk music that his cousin, Leila Steinberg, brought from Los Angeles to Panama, when she came to live with his family for 2 years. Marc moved to San Francisco to persue his passion of recording and mixing house, rap, r&b, gospel, hip hop and world music. He has worked in many studios in The Bay Area as a freelance Audio Engineer, and has production credits for work with Digital Underground, Mac Mall, E40, Africa Heartbeat, Patti Austin, Dubtribe Sound System, Sikeru Adapoju, Babatunde Olatungi, Matin Luther, Om Records and more. Marc currently works at Euphonix, a leading manufacturer of digital consoles, on the System5-MC and MC products, controllers for many of the leading digital audio workstations. Assist and The Sunrunners music is recorded direct-to-disk using Apple's Logic Pro software. The music is created with analog and digital synthesizers, acoustic instruments and of course some nice microphones. Marc & Adam have been friends for many years and are part of a young and vibrant Jewish community that started in San Francisco and now extends all over the US. They are future brothers-in-law, and will surely be making music together for a long time. Assist and The Sunrunners Illustrations are created by Matisyahu Tonti. Mat has been drawing as long as he can remember. Drawing from influences of nature, comics, and Jewish traditions, Mat does his best to involve the viewers of his art through humor, honest characters, and heartfelt emotion.
