| I love this CD! The music is intense and playful, with toe-tapping, complex melodies that are easily learned, hard to forget. From the delicate beauty of the Elohai to a fast-paced and fun re-telling of Noah and the flood in The Promise, Andrew Dennen has skillfully captured both liturgy and kavanah in his debut album. I find his music intelligent and singable, infused with spirit, rhythm and joy. Rich and vibrant, Dennen weaves Sephardic melodies with good old-fashioned rock, driving percussion with gentle lullabies. It's clear he's on a journey of renewal and discovery, exploring the themes of tikkun olam, redemption and hope.
