Batya Diamond
Batya's journey has led her from Brooklyn, NY to 'the Five Towns' of Long Island, to Smith College, New York City and, since 1990, Wilton, CT. Born "Ellen Minsky", Batya has been a lawyer, a private investigator, a radio deejay and a wife and mother. Her name or voice may be familiar to those of you who listen to WEBE 108 (CT), where Batya was formerly the afternoon traffic reporter.

For several years, Batya attended rabbinical school at the Academy for Jewish Religion in NY, and was briefly with the Aleph (Jewish Renewal) smicha program. During this time, she was the assistant Rabbi at Temple Shalom in Norwalk, CT, as well as a chaplain intern at Norwalk Hospital.

Batya is the founder and spiritual leader of the Wilton Jewish Center–Nefesh Yehudi, a community that gathers for worship, Torah study, meditation, healing circles, and women's Rosh Chodesh celebrations. She also officiates at many private ceremonies, and is a teacher of all things Jewish.
