Neil Seidel
Neil Seidel began playing guitar at the age of 7. Born in New York City, he had the opportunity to study with many of the top studio musicians in that area.

Later moving to Los Angeles, California. Neil became a busy guitarist doing a variety of work, including recordings and touring with popular bands. Neil joined " Gary Lewis and the Playboys" which was a rock group with several hit records. Later Neil joined " Shanti" which was signed with Atlantic Records and was probably the first "World Music" group featuring top Indian musicians, Aashish Khan and Zakir Hussain.

Neil met Shlomo Carlebach, the famous Jewish music composer/ singer when he needed a spiritual Rabbi to perform the wedding ceremony for him and his wife Patricia.

From the moment Neil and Shlomo met, there was musical chemistry, and a relationship was forged that lasted 25 years. Neil and Patricia produced " Days are Coming" a beautiful collection of Shlomo's songs orchestrated with top studio players and singers.
Many other projects followed over the years and Neil accompanied Shlomo on several tours around the US.

" The Heavenly Melodies of Shlomo Carlebach" is Neil's tribute to Shlomo's music.
Neil decided to do an instrumental CD to highlight the beauty of Shlomo's soulful melodies.

"The Heavenly Melodies of Shlomo Carlebach" Volumes 1 & 11 are available as downloads on this site
