Folk-pop melodies meet textual tradition in Hannah Spiro's alt-Jewish tunes. With It Is Upon Us (2012) and Aliyah (2010), Hannah combines progressive midrash and interpretive liturgy with the musical sentiment of a 90's kid raised on Fleetwood Mac and bubblegum pop. Now a student rabbi at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia, PA, Hannah is a Jewish Rock Radio Emerging Artist and has shared the stage with artists from Pete Seeger to Flory Jagoda to Rick Recht. Hannah is thrilled to visit congregations for musical Shabbat services and artist residencies, and loves raising consciousness and energy levels among adults, teens, and kids alike. Feel free to get in touch!
