Why is this music different from all other Jewish music? The music that I write engages with Jewish holidays, history, language, prayer, and Torah, all with a midrashic, interpretive, spin. These songs are full of content, and inspire others to take Torah into their own hands and interpret for themselves. This is music that empowers as it entertains. Also, it rocks! Who are you? My name is Eliana. I graduated from Brandeis University in 2013 and now work as the director of Jewish education of Park Avenue Synagogue in New York. I grew up in a wonderful Jewish household going to Jewish schools, camps, and programs, and now I want to give back. Teaching t'fillah, Jewish prayer, is my passion, and music is the way I communicate and make sense of my Jewish world. What can you bring to my community? So many things! I can do creative prayer services for your families, choreograph original Israeli dances with your 5th graders, run a Bible Raps workshop with your teens, lead a soulful Kabbalat Shabbat, plan a personalized Bar/Bat Mitzvah experience for your child, train your educators in t'fillah teaching, or put on an incredible concert for the whole community...
