"This One At Last" is a stunning mix of 11 original Jewish songs by Rabbi David Meyer and Jon Nelson (founder of the groundbreaking Jewish band, Yom Hadash). Together, they have forged an organic sound that's fresh & innovative. The CD spans a full spectrum of moods and modes, from tender and intimate ("V'ayrastichi Li," "This One At Last," "Y'hiyu L'ratzon") to full board rocking ("Hillel Omer," "Pitchu Li," "Adon Olam", "The Key")! And everything in between. "S'eu Sh'arim" is majestic. Much of "V'taher Libenu" is set in an 11/4 meter and is a wild ride from start to finish. The album represents the best of American Jewish music. It has strong influences of American and British stylings (Simon & Garfunkel, Steve Winwood, Bob Dylan) while staying true to its yiddishkeit (Jewish soul).
