Rebecca Schwartz
Rebecca Schwartz is a professional singer/guitarist and award-winning songwriter who believes in the power of prayer through music. She has written musical settings for much of our liturgy, and her soothing voice and unique guitar style help enable people all over the world to enjoy a "religious experience". Rebecca has also written secular love songs, and songs to help teach autistic children.

Rebecca serves as Cantorial Soloist and Music Director at Congregation Kol Ami in Elkins Park, PA, just outside Philadelphia. As an artist-in-residence outside her community, she creates all types of worship experiences for other congregations. She has performed in the US, Canada, Israel, and The Netherlands. Rebecca also teaches guitars to children and adults, and specializes in teaching guitar to clergy members.

During the summers from 2014 through 2017, Rebecca served as Music Director at Ramah Day Camp in Elkins Park, PA. During the summers from 2005 through 2012, Rebecca served as Songleading Director at Union for Reform Judaism Crane Lake Camp in West Stockbridge, MA, making a difference in the lives of Jewish kids by teaching Jewish music and guitar, singing with campers and staff, leading music for worship, and mentoring young adult and teen songleaders.

Rebecca has performed and presented musical workshops at numerous Jewish conventions. She is a Shalshelet and Just Plain Folks award-winner, and has been published by Shalshelet and numerous times by Transcontinental Music Publications. Sixteen of her songs have also been featured in "The Jewish Path; A Concise Guide & DVD Bringing Judaism to Life", written by Rabbi Wendy D. Pein and Nanci J. Freedberg.

Rebecca is a published author in the collaborative book, "Music, Carrier of Intention in 49 Jewish Prayers", compiled and published by Kimberly Burnham and Elizabeth W. Goldstein. In her personal life, Rebecca enjoys being a wife and mother of two.
